点评：Second trip to this beautiful spot and this time with friends. It is along hike and in the warmer weather (it was a scorcher the day I went) be prepared to eat a few flies on the way up. It is a long hike of about an hour but nothing to strenuous. Keep to the path and all be well.
The river itself is shallow and though fast flowing not too strong. You can lie down or just sit in the deeper sections.
Changing facilities are just a couple of wooden 'walls' in a cross formation and so no reel privacy. If you're not too prudish then no problem, if it is then bring a big towel for modesty when changing.
Most people behave themselves though again it is the tourists that tend to be the loudest and most 'disruptive'.
As for the carpark, you pay (small machine on the wall ofthe coffee house) when you have finished your hike but you get a 10 minute grace period from paying to actually leaving the carpark.
The coffee house closes about 5pm so if you want a coffee at the end of the hike bear this in mind.
As sensible as this sounds dont go dipping your hand into some of the small streams at the beginning of the hike (near the steam vents) unless you want your fingers par boiled.
Oh and if you have river shoes, bring those as the stones can be a little uncomfortable underfoot in the river.
