点评：The island is a former military base nowadays belonging to the Archipelago National Park of Finland. We stayed there for two nights/three days which is an ample time to see all parts of it. We stayed at the small hotel (a redecorated barracks with some 30 rooms). The room was spacious with two separate very comfortable beds, bath room with shower, TV. It was very tidy and silent. The hotel restaurant was in a separate building just opposite. Breakfast was included and we had both lunch and dinner there. The food was excellent and there was plenty of it. The personnel was very kind, effective and helpful.
Some notices:
- the tap water is potable
- walking the partly cobbled paths need sturdy shoes. Heavy boots are not necessary
- some marked paths cross pastures with friendly and curious bovine. Just ignore them.
- vipers are more afraid of you than you of them. Watch your steps.
The island is kind of paradise on earth. We enjoy it just before the full summer season or just after it.
