点评：The Tillai Nataraja Temple, also known as the Chidambaram Nataraja Temple, is a famous Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva in his form as Nataraja – the cosmic dancer. It is located in Chidambaram, a town in the Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu, India.
The "Chidambara Rahasyam", or the "Secret of Chidambaram," is a mystical concept symbolized by a curtain behind which nothing is visible — representing the formless aspect of Shiva.
The temple is also associated with Shaiva Siddhanta philosophy and is a central site for Ananda Tandava, Shiva’s divine dance of bliss.
Architecture and Layout:
The temple spans about 40 acres and features:
Four massive gopurams (gateway towers)
The Kanaka Sabha and Chit Sabha (halls of dance)
Beautifully carved pillars, sculptures, and bronzes, especially of Nataraja
A sacred tank called the Sivaganga tank
100 pillar mandapa & 1000 pillar Mandapa
