Invergordon Golf Club的点评
点评：Review by Stuart Bendoris from Facebook Golf Courses of Scotland. Kindly allowed this to be added to Trip Advisor.
Invergordon starts in style in front of the Clubhouse with the opening hole, a short par 3, overlooking the Cromarty Firth. It’s here that enormous cruise ships sail in and out of the Highlands, and the golf course starting above the town has a similarly pleasing flow.
The par threes are especially noteworthy, the aforementioned 1st and then 8 and 10 threading excitingly through trees that touch the sky. The 15th, slightly longer than the other three, completes an entertaining quartet.
The 3rd playing down to the Firth is a brute especially into a blustery wind today, it’s a par 5 in all but name.
Kudos to the greenkeepers; despite a couple of greens having a GUR marker for some blemishes, the greens and the fairways were otherwise perfect. The putting surfaces were so smooth, there was no deviation from the line of well struck putts and I didn’t find a pitch mark until the 17th.
The closing hole hugs the water, only the road and railway line separate course and Cromarty Firth. The holes plays under 300 yards and is driveable but the green sits atop a plateau, the entrance is narrow and long rough awaits just right. I managed an up and down birdie from this rough but nearly never found my ball. The 2nd is similar; in range with a solid drive but out of bounds threatens just off the fairway right. Classic risk and reward golf.
Invergordon was very enjoyable indeed, the par threes the undoubted highlight. The course is certainly no pushover - the ball sits down in the first cut and anything further astray finds trees or cabbage. There are several doglegs to negotiate and the gusting wind strengthened the test still further.

要为球场养护人员点赞：虽然有几个果岭上因存在一些瑕疵而标有GUR标记，但整体上果岭与球道的状态堪称完美。那些推杆面更是平滑无比。我打出的推杆全都沿着预定线路行进，直到第17洞我才发现一个球痕。
最后一洞紧邻水面，只有一条公路和一条铁路线将球场与克罗默蒂湾分隔开来。此洞距离不到300码，理论上可以用一杆攻上果岭，但果岭位于一块高地上，入口处很狭窄，周围则是一片长长的长草区。我虽然从那片长草区中成功打出小鸟球，但实际上差点就找不到自己的球了。第二洞的情况类似：球可以打得足够远，但稍偏右就会飞出球道边界。这正是典型的高尔夫风险与回报并存的体现。
因弗戈登高尔夫球场确实令人乐在其中，其中的三个标准杆三杆洞更是亮点所在。这座球场绝非易攻之地——球很容易陷入短草区，稍有偏差便会撞上树木或灌木丛。球场上有多处弯道需要应对，强劲的风力更是增加了打球的难度。
