Cancellation, Safety and Parking Fine

点评：We have travelled with P&O for many years but never again. We arrived to find our 2000 sailing to Larne cancelled. We had to travel that night to provide care for an elderly relative and tried to get a guarantee we would get on the midnight boat. We were told the boat was full but they were pushing extra cars and passengers on board to clear the backlog. Sounded totally unsafe. We could not be guaranteed a place on board but were continually told we would be booked but no guarantee we would get on. The staff were literally frazzled, reading from a company script (clearly well practiced) and clearly left high and dry with absolutely no management support. We had no choice but to cancel and travelled Stena. To add insult to injury, we did not head for the cars queueing at the booths for a cancelled ferry and parked on the adjacent road in case we needed to exit. The cameras picked us up and we have now received a £50 parking fine which rises to £80 if we don’t pay within 2 weeks. Appalling treatment and never ever again.
