点评：A fabulous tour and walk back in time to see our Sherborne wealthy ancestors, Hills Carriage Makers and where they lived and how their daily lives would have been on Cheap Street, Green Hill,North Street,ColdHarbour, George Street, to see the two coaching houses still standing "the George" and the Antelope where the carriage works , stood between the two, so near to the old market cross. Our guide Paul Birbeck showed us where the appentices and workers cottages would have been occupied and how they would have transported their finished carriages via the rail way system, and where the factory reallocated after the fire. I don't think my ancestors would have been educated in the famous private school of Sherboure, but it was a wonderful experience just to look in awe next to the beauiful Abbey. Paul was a very knowable and interesting guide, hope to meet him again on another visit to Sherborne.
