Hiking in Usambara Mountains from Lushoto

点评：I visited Usambara Mountins several times . Two years ago with a big group, this year with three young Tanzanian friends. I cannot hike very far, my friends do. we did the hike to Irente view Point and this time there really was a view and not only clouds like last time. Even without the view it is a lovely hike through villages and secret shortcuts along shambas and little streams. On the way back I felt that I could not really make it back all the way to Lushoto and Christina our guide was quick to arrange a boda boda to pick me up.
We did another trip to KIasa waterfalls and it helped that this time I brought my hiking poles. Christina is a good guide and we had good conversations during the walk in Swahili and English. Back at the office at the bus station Kisavoi made us delicious local coffee and we arranged for a nyama choma all together. Christina also advised us a very good guesthouse in town the Castaway. Nothing really special just good, clean and with a good breakfast, central in Lushoto. All in all we had a very good experience but haggle a bit about the price with Christina!
