点评:This was a fun and informative experience. I learned a lot about this company and about glass and how it was made. The pieces were beautiful. That being said, the tour guide was a little prickly. He would ask questions, and then was kind of arrogant when people answered. It made you feel like a kid at school who gave a wrong answer and was scolded by the teacher, then told to sit in the corner with the dunce cap on. We were about a group of ten people, all adults. You could tell by the way he answered people, they felt ashamed because the guy was so condescending. None of us were glass experts, and that's why we were there- to learn. He was well versed, but it seemed like he wasn't thrilled about engaging with us mere peasants, and this was just a job he had to do. In fact he was talking to another employee before the tour started, saying how people today didn't care about antiques or glass and were only interested in going to Ikea, and how it was tough to sell antiques now a days. I assure you sir, I do not shop at Ikea, but even if someone did-so what? I disagree with his statement because we also visited the Hawley Antique Exchange afterward, and the parking lot was packed, so apparently, many people appreciate antiques. Furthermore, it's very unprofessional to be speaking so negatively while you have guests waiting for the tour to begin. For someone so high and mighty, I would say that was classless.
