Welcome Rock Trails的点评
点评：We had 3 nights in the Welcome Rock Slate Hut in December.
The views, as we had hoped for, were stunning and you certainly have a special spot.
But we were very disappointed in the standard of cleanliness of the hut. I'm not a fan of putting negative reviews on social media until my concerns have been expressed directly with the owners, and then make a decision as to whether to alert others.
Tim & Katie? have not responded to my email following:
We have no issue with "Rustic" - simple, unsophisticated, old, quaint, limited facilities.
But we did have issues with the cleanliness:
Old dirty blankets lying over the double bed.
The floor presented as unswept for some time.
The kitchen bench was covered in soot from the bottom of pots and impossible to clean as no available cleaning products. It appeared that the pots were blackened from the 5 gas burners which, except for 1, were not functioning properly and thus the yellow flame was leaving soot on the pots.
The kitchen cupboards were simply grotty inside.
There generally seemed to be a lot of "stuff" lying around - empty cleaning containers, dead matches, stuff on the top bunk.
The plates & dishes were very limited in number and very old, and needed washing before use.
The compostable toilet was great but the toilet paper bin was overflowing!
We have been back to your web site and think it totally mis represents what is on offer. Your pricing reflects what is presented on the web but it is an exorbitant price for what is the reality.
That view / the environment is stunning!
