Immersive and Lovely Japanese Experience in Asakusa!

点评：I had such an amazing time with Jidaiya!! Definitely the highlight of my day in Asakusa :)
I had done the kimono rental, the wagashi making experience and the tea ceremony. It was a very smooth experience, all the staff we’re so kind, sweet and easy to talk to! Nana, Kumi and Ayako were so lovely and made the experience so amazing. We were chatting and laughing the whole time, I felt at home with them :)
Nana helped me with picking and putting on a beautiful kimono to wear, and wow, there really is an art to putting on kimono!
Kumi helped me with wagashi making and it was so fun and she was so supportive despite how nervous I was to make it! I ended up making such cute wagashi I’m proud of~
Ayako led the tea ceremony and it was so beautiful and engaging. She shared with me the history and poetics of the ceremony and I really felt immersed in Japanese culture. I had to eat my cute cat wagashi :,( but I prepared my own matcha and it was very rewarding!
Then afterwards I got to explore Asakusa in my Kimono with the rental ending at 5 pm. Such a cool experience and photo opportunity (especially at Senso-ji)!
Overall I had such a memorable time with Jidaiya and as a female solo traveler, it means the whole world to me how welcomed I felt :) Thanks again!
