点评：Our last few visits to Cherbourg have been on Sundays and this establishment was closed so I was delighted to be there on Wednesday at 12.30 prior to catching our ferry. I loved the old film.
I was prepared for high prices and looking forward to treating myself to a fabulous umbrella with shoulder strap.
I wanted to see the museum first although the workshop was empty. Bon, c’était l’heure du déjeuner.
I hung around the shop afraid to check for prices as there were prominent signs telling me not to touch the umbrellas. In English. And prominent signs not to take the lift to the museum without buying a ticket. In English.
Well there was a French lady buying. an umbrella or at least discussing them with the shop assistant. So that went on. They are not cheap. I understand that decisione take time . I would have taken my time had I had the opportunity. So I hung around the shop. And I had to get lunch because I had a ferry to catch at 16.30.And nobody even said ‘Bonjour’ to me. So eventually i left.
I live in Ireland. I don’t need another umbrella anyway. It might have been nice though..
