We have visited Ceramic Viera several times in recent years. This establishment has benefited from some renovations and updates. The "flow" of the self tour is more welcoming and comfortable with these updates. The history of ceramics in general is intriguing in itself. However, adding the story of the Portuguese artisan and it's tradition makes the visit to Viera Ceramica very special. There is wonderful displays of handcrafted work throughout the building. Additionaly, you can observe artisans at work during your visit. The employess can be very engaging if the opportunity is present. However, most often they are observed deeply concentrating on their task. If you are looking for a gift, or something to add to your home. There is plenty of finds in the gift shop. Keep in mind that this establishments longevity, handcrafting and popularity demand a higher price tag on the items for sale.
