Must see if visiting Ghana and will be in Kumasi

点评：The most recent 2 reviews I read describe this museum very accurately except there was not a gift shop that I saw. Maybe it was closed the day we went. For such a small place, there was a lot of history. I wish I could have taken pictures of the board that showed the history of the Asante royals and what happened to each of them. The British museum had currently loaned some of the artifacts they themselves admit they had stolen, back to Ghana. But, apparently they plan to take those back to England in a few months so you better get over there and see them while you can! However, the US has permanently returned the artifacts they had acquired, to the Ghanians. So, those you should be able to see even if you don't come for a while, There is more cool stuff in each room and plenty of interesting history. The Ashante royal family is also one of few African tribal kingdoms the British royals acknowledge and invited to the Queen's funeral. So, I learned a lot about this tribe from this museum.
