Copenhagen City Hall的点评
点评：Copenhagen City Hall is a grand building in the heart of the capital. During national moments of joy, thousands of Danes gather in front of the building to greet the team/royal/personality of the moment who appears on a central balcony to celebrate. The building hosts hundreds and hundreds of weddings every year and any visit here is likely to see various couple and their guests just about to embark on the next stage of their lives.
The building featured in the Danish 2007 series The Killing where done of the filming was completed here along with some of the storylines involving fictional versions of Copenhagen city politicians. The whole of Denmark and the Kingdom of Denmark is represented here and there is a good deal to learn about the architect of the building. All over the building various mistakes were intentionally made in the design of the interior and its great finding these random anomalies. Depending on if they are available to see at the time, various rooms are viewed including the smoking room where politicians had their cigars and would leave them guarded by an officer when they entered the chamber. You might be lucky enough to get a rooftop view where the sight of the very heart of the city can be seen. Tours are in English or Danish with different start times for each language.
This tour of the building was made perfect by the host Andreas who provided the best building tour I’ve ever had. His knowledge was exemplary and if you’re lucky, he might be your guide on the day too.
Close to all forms of public transport and within a very short walking distance from most museums, Parliament and the shopping area, this tour is not to be missed!!!!
