点评：In May of 2025 we traveled to Antietam Battlefield. We were a group of four, all veterans, three of us career military. We elected to hire a guide with the Antietam Battlefield Guides. Our guide was Chris Vincent, a retired military veteran. Chris arrived on time and was well prepared. He contacted me in advance and asked for a profile of the group he would be addressing. He carries a backpack filled with exceptionally detailed visual representations not only of the battlefield but of the people who fought, lived, and died on the battlefield. We elected to take the extended 8 hour tour. It was well worth the time! We ventured into areas and battle scenes we would have never discovered, let alone understood. At each stop, Chris withdrew from his backpack a stack of laminated maps and pictures, specifically organized for that specific location. He brought the battlefield to life in front of our eyes. His presentations are professional, succinct, timely, and relevant. Each of us commented on how much we didn't know about the Battlefield and how much we gained from Chris's presentations. We are seasoned travelers and have visited battlefields around the world. Chris Vincent is by far, head and shoulders above other Battlefield guides we have hired in the past! We highly recommend not only Chris but also recommend taking an extended tour of the battlefield and surrounding area. Regardless of whichever tour you select, hiring a guide is the best use of your time!
