点评：We booked the all-day mangrove experience with Sierpe Outfitters and it was truly the highlight of our vacation. From my first booking inquiry only a few days before the excursion to the end, everything exceeded our expectations.
The boat captain was phenomenal and I’m sorry I cannot remember his name. He navigated the incredibly narrow mangrove channels with ease and handled stretches of choppy water from the river to the Pacific Ocean with skill and confidence. We always felt safe and comfortable, which allowed us to sit back, relax, and enjoy the incredible scenery.
Our guide, Simone, was simply outstanding. Her knowledge of the area’s wildlife was remarkable, and her ability to spot and identify animals was beyond impressive. She found three barn owls sleeping under a bridge, more scarlet macaws than we could ever hope for, and entire trees filled with monkeys. As bird lovers, we were especially thrilled to add a dozen or so new species to our list, as well!
What made the experience even more special was Simone herself. She was engaging, fun to spend the day with, and clearly passionate about sharing the beauty of the mangroves and Costa Rica with others.
By the end of the day, my husband and I both agreed this was the experience we will remember most from our trip. We only wish we had booked additional excursions with Sierpe Outfitters, as we know they would have been equally amazing.
We cannot recommend them highly enough!
