点评:We stayed nearby and our first trip was the night walk. Our driver & guide ensured we arrived around 5.30pm as this gave us the best chance to see the Fossa and this paid off. However, this was on the campsite around the kitchen area rather than on the actual trek later. Immediately it was spotted everyone ran towards it with cameras in hand. This didn't bother the animal, it seemed to us that they feed it from the kitchen and it is used to people!!
We were then taken to an area of forest for the night walk, where we saw several types of lemur, lizards and birds. We got some good photographs as you are quite close, but the area was very busy with several groups at the same time. We thinks these animals may be encouraged to stay in a specific area for viewing. It wasn't a very large area and close to the campsite.
Overall yes it was worth doing.
Morning Walk
Again quite a few groups in the same area, and some of them were attempting to feed lemurs which we felt was not good. The local guide who was with them should have discouraged this.
Accomodation at the camp - we didn't stay here but from what we saw the huts were a very basic backpacker type with little outside space.
