The Gardens, Wynyard Hall的点评
点评：This cafe certainly taints Wynyard Hall’s reputation. Visited with my husband, the farm shop had good quality produce, however the cafe really let it down.
Food looks appetising although the sandwiches were under cover the cakes and pies were on the counter without food or cover.
Having purchased our refreshments, we went to three tables, all were cleared but table tops were dirty. There were five members of staff visible so weren’t short staffed. There was one member of staff purely clearing tables, I watched her clear six tables without wiping any of them clean. Once cleared she would return to the main counter to chat with the counter staff, leaning on the counter with her hand on hip until another table became vacant.
The three female assistants all had long hair, all tied into a pony tale but because of the long hair it was draped over their shoulders. Bearing in mind the food on the counter being uncovered.
The food and drinks are pricey, which you don’t mind paying in a well run clean and healthy environment. These niggles are basic hygiene requirements. So evidently it’s down to poor management.
On leaving I visited the ladies toilet which were ok but did have a drain smell. The cleaning checklist had not been signed for two days.
I’ve been reading the reviews where the majority were negative yet nothing seems to have improved. Staff training certainly needs to be reintroduced.
