点评：This place is a worthwhile breakaway from your beach routine when in Varkala. I found this sight a wonderful fill-in for a daily routine of beach and beverages. I will split my review into stages so that I can do justice to the entire experience.
Parking: Very well designated and entry and exit is peaceful even with lots of tourists. The parking staff are warm and well-mannered and guide you well.
Ticketing Enclave: This is well designed and credit should be given for the smartness in design. The ticketing itself is divided into 2 halves, one that gets you into the building that houses the reception, restaurant and the entry to the ropeway. The other half has the ticketing room for purchasing the ticket for the ropeway. So, the crowd gets divided into two while one tries to get into the main building the other is getting into the ropeway. The best takeaway is that the queue will be short enough to be under the shelter during the heat and humidity of Kerala. The main building is airconditioned so you don't break a sweat.
Ropeway: The approach to the ropeway is through a cafe which has short-eats and beverages whereas exit has a restaurant which provides meals to the needy. There is an elevator that takes you to the floor where the ropeway has its pickup and there are seats for the elderly to relax while they wait for their turn. The cubicles are clean and ventilated and the ascent takes not more than 10 minutes. The views are totally based on the time of your visit and we got some nice pleasant climate so were the views.
Earth Center: This was closed for renovation so we couldn't get inside to experience it so we just went around it and took some snaps with our friends. There is a temple alongside which you can visit while you are there. The whole place is exceptionally clean and well maintained which is the highlight of any place you visit while in Kerala.
There is a kiosk that sells some refreshments and a small shop set up by ISKON if one needs to fulfill their devotional quotient and spend some time sitting around the hillock. There is a pathway for walking around the hillock and one can use their imaginative skills of camera and take some good snaps. The whole sight took about an hour and a quarter for us while you could spend another 30 minutes or so if needed and based on the leisure and availability of time.
The return pickup area is again nicely organized with chairs for the elderly and needy while they wait for their turn and you come back with lots of memories and smiles.
