点评:Absolutely not suitable for 2WD - barely suitable for 4WD, which we had, when we visited (late SEP 2022). We checked with Visitor Information that all roads/tracks were open and safe before departing. The track was very bumpy, full of big potholes filled with water, it was a very narrow track with overgrown bush scratching the car and a sand track part of the way. The track starts out OK, narrow and a bit bumpy, but the ground was mostly compacted - just lots of scrub touching car. Then a few kms in turns very bumpy, lots of big holes and muddy slush. Were barely able to creep along slowly. Got all the way to the last 1.8kms and couldn't get through to the lookout or bay as there was a big uneven sand dune to drive part over part around and we didn't have the right air pressure in the tyres for sand driving. Definitely didn't want to risk getting stuck. What a waste of time! It was a much easier drive and fantastic views from Lone Pine Lookout area just south and outside of the National Park - which saves you $12.50. As others have said, the NP was not that interesting, just bush scrub. We went all the way to lighthouse, which was also not that impressive, but at least we got some value for the NP Pass.
