点评：Our navigation originally took us to the back of the house. We were able to get turned around and find the parking for the house a few streets over.
We bought a combination history and haunted tour online. The online ticket purchase is weird, and I suggest calling to verify how/when to purchase tickets (there is an open field for the customer to type in the requested date and time, but no confirmation that the date and time you requested is accepted, only a confirmation of your sale). You can purchase tickets on site as well. Expect to show your receipt to verify ticket purchase.
The history portion was interesting at times. Our tour guide was preoccupied getting ready for the night’s later events which was a bit of a let down. She did a great job answering questions and sharing knowledge with us for the most part. She seemed a little flustered at times, but was kind and helpful. She apologized at the start and let us know it would be a rushed tour because she needed to be able to eat before the later events got started. The phone rang several times when we first got there, and it seemed as though she was in charge of handling most if not everything.
She apologized several times for being unprofessional. She told us not to touch or lean on anything in the house, and then proceeded to touch and lean on many things. Several of the rooms are small, and would be uncomfortable for large groups. You must be able to climb stairs to participate. The items in the house are marked to denote who purchased them/the time period they came into the house.
We came back later for the haunted tour and it was a more in depth story. Some of it was cheesy, but overall the stories were great. The actors and actresses did a wonderful job.
Go to the history tour to see the house, go to the haunted tour to hear the stories…or do both!
