What an extraordinary experience photographing the Dalmatian Pelicans at Lake Kerkini.
From the very beginning, Spiros was exceptional. Every detail was thoughtfully organized — from seamless airport pickup and drop-off, to our comfortable accommodations, to the incredible meals each day. The boat outings were perfectly timed and expertly executed.
Nick, our boat captain, and his team were absolutely fabulous. Their skill on the water and their friendly relationship with the wildlife allowed us to witness the pelicans with breathtaking moments. Their movement, their wild windblown feathers, their curiosity and presence — it was deeply moving. We came home not only with incredible images, but with memories that will stay with us forever.
Spiros is an amazing guide. He is organized, passionate, and deeply professional. What stood out most was how comfortable and safe we felt as women traveling. From the first moment, you truly feel you are in capable and trustworthy hands. His genuine concern for your well-being — checking in on energy levels, comfort, and readiness — makes you feel completely looked after. He also clearly explains the “why” behind safety decisions and itinerary choices, which builds both confidence and trust. He made all of the arrangements for our accommodation - great room and such hospitality at a traditional hotel in the region. He also organized all of our evening dining - we visited many local villages and had great food.
Having a true local expert who speaks fluent English and Greek made all the difference. The access, the insight, the ease — this trip was special because we experienced it through someone who genuinely knows and loves this place.
