It means Midagrabin Gorge in Russian

点评：While midagrabin means "something inside" in Ossetian. Moreover, the gorge is called not Midagrabin but Gizeldon; the former toponym applies to the waterfalls only.
I went there in my SUV in mid-August. They nestle at the end of a long valley, closer to the Russian-Georgian border, more than fifty (!) of them. It's practically impossible to reach them by car (maybe by a bigfoot?) even in good weather; one has to literally drive up the bed of a shallow but pretty rough river. Nevertheless, a walk there is not so challenging.
While waterfalls are not that impressive per se, both the road thereto and the landscapes are absolutely stunning. Driving is not a cakewalk at all; the terrain is bumpy, and there are a couple of impressive streamlets to cross. Do also bear in mind that it's a border zone, so a passport is a must, even for a Russian citizen.
A great place to visit and enjoy Mother Nature!
