Norwegian Mountaineering Centre的点评
点评：When we arrived, the town was preparing for a concert and crews were busily setting up the stage in town centre. This made access to the Mountaineering Centre a little more tricky with the wheelchair, but it was still doable and I think normally it would have been easy. I am far from the mountaineering type though I had done abseiling as a teen, and while in the forces. Having recently visited the Polar Institute in Cambridge, it seemed a nice theme to follow here in Norway. The centre has a cafe, a climbing wall area (a very large one), and the museum. The tickets were a bit pricey but not too bad for Norway. There is a lift to the museum for those with mobility issues.
Exhibits in the museum compared equipment and the development of the gear over the past hundred years or so. There was a video which included detail about death on climbing expeditions (not to put visitors off), and as a whole the visit was interesting.
