Lovely bay with golden sand

点评：On the last day of our holiday staying with friends in Los Alcazares it was a boiling hot day (mid 30s), so we decided to have a beach day. Our friends suggested Mazarron as we had never been before. It was a pleasant drive down the coast and we settled at Playa de la Reya. This was a lovely bay located near to the hotel Bahia. The sand was golden and there was plenty of room for our deckchairs and umbrellas.
This was a popular bay and quickly became busy, especially along the shoreline. It was nice to see families spending time together and children playing with beach toys including kite's. We spent the entire day at the beach sunbathing and paddling in the gentle waves under the watchful eye of the lifeguard. The views across the ocean were amazing with several boat trips leaving the nearby harbor. At lunch time we enjoyed a picnic and visited the beach bar for cold drinks. The beach bar was very clean with plenty of seating . There was a great menu selling salads, burgers and snacks. After lunch we took a stroll over the bridge to the rocks in the sea.
