点评:Our experience with Cat Cocos was extremely frustrating. They cancelled the last ferry from Praslin to Mahé due to “low bookings,” leaving us no option but to completely change our travel plans as my friend was flying back the following morning.
We were moved to the 2pm ferry, cutting half day of activities previously booked and inly to realise the ferry was overpacked. Ironically, Cat Cocos ferries should plan for less than full trips considering they are the only operator between islands - they clearly take advantage of their monopoly—offering poor service and showing little regard for customers.
Staff attitudes at both La Digue and Praslin offices were unprofessional. At La Digue, a staff member refused to accept the voucher she herself had issued simply because it was a picture, despite previously saying it would be fine - therefore i needed to buy another 2 tickets 🤬 Then. In Praslin, we were told bluntly that it’s “not their problem” if the ferry is cancelled.
Seychelles relies heavily on tourism—this level of service is unacceptable. It’s time for the government to open up inter-island ferry routes to competition to improve reliability and customer experience.
