点评:Although I attended a prof doc meeting in Chicago years ago I just did not get “into” the city until recently. We brought our dog (a lab) so we’re limited in some ways. For sample we couldn’t go into Millennium Park, but it didn’t really matter, because on the east side of the park there is a place for dog travel, as was a great park across the street (north side of the park) at its northeast end. Navy Pier was also pretty dog friendly outside. We walked under LSD up at Oak and then headed north to the beach house after getting a coffee and crumpet at Lavazza. We walked Michigan Ave. to the River then did the river walk west to its terminus (bathroom near by here). Then we went to M Park, then back to Navy Pier for a good outdoor dinner and beer. We drove to the city, put our car up in a commercial facility and brought the pup in to the hotel. Michigan Ave. was beautiful with semitropical foliage all the way down the street, on both sides, and in a middle area too. Gorgeous! The up side: I’m 83 and managed 22,000 steps. Then we drove to Kalamazoo for a college hockey game. And yes. Windy it was. Off the lake.
