点评：The Inca Trail has been on my bucket list for 20 years, and to say I am grateful for this experience is a massive understatement. Completing the "Luxury Inca" trek with Evolution Treks Peru earlier this month was everything we could have dreamed of and more. The Peruvian people are incredibly kind and selfless, and this team truly made the journey unforgettable.
Our crew was nothing short of spectacular, and they deserve every bit of recognition:
Our Guide, Sara (aka Sarita): Words cannot do justice to how incredible Sara is. She is knowledgeable, encouraging, and a beautiful soul: she is officially my Peruvian soul sister! Her passion and leadership kept us inspired every step of the way.
Chefs Nicolas & Enrique: They performed actual culinary magic at every single camp. We are still dreaming about the food, and Nicolas - we still need that quinoa soup recipe! :) Nicolas even surprised us with Pisco Sours on our last evening - the best treat! Rosalio, Maxwell (& so many others!): You attentiveness, warmth, and impeccable service elevated the entire "luxury" aspect of this trek. We loved seeing you peak over the corner of the tent to bring our next treat.
What makes Evolution Treks truly stand out is their commitment to ethical tourism. They are leading the way in the Andes by empowering women guides and porters. Seeing this sustainability and gender equality in practice was incredibly moving. The porters are absolute trail superheroes, and knowing we were supporting a company that treats their staff with the utmost respect made the experience even more meaningful.
If you are thinking about doing the the Inca Trail trek, do yourself a favor and go with Evolution Treks Peru. It is truly a world-class experience with a beautiful mission.
