Worth the detour - not just local animals - Kutchan lifestyle over the years.

点评：It's not "all about the local fluffy animals" - far from it. It has exhibits about life from around the area. Farming machinery, skiing history, education and much more. Trip Advisor said to give it "about 1 hour" but we were there about 2 hours.
Younger children will still find the bulk interesting but for a change, adults got something out of it too.
It's not some half hearted local council or enthusiastic individuals "home made" museum - it's well laid out over two floors. They have an attached shed with overflow exhibits which were great to look over - so go into that shed too or you'll miss heaps!

Well worth the flat 30 minute walk from the main "train/bus" station in Kutchan. Apparently there is a local bus but I believe that's a weekday only - I could be wrong here. It's a short taxi right but the walk was easy and you got to see the town.
The adult 200 yen entrance fee was very reasonable.
If you want to go to the local art gallery (about 100 metres at the end of the car park) then you can purchase a joint entrance ticket.
