点评:This archaeological zone has been one of our favourite so far on our trip. We drove to the site from Xupjil and arrived just after 12:30pm and the site was empty!
For drivers taking the route from Xupjil, Google may recommend you take a road heading north from a town called Centenario. I would recommend you keep going along the highway as this background had extreme amounts of potholes! It was great to see the country side and was a great experience but I would take the highway route if done again.
Entry to the site was $200 pesos and there no parking fee unlike some of the other archaeological zones we have been to. There were a couple small couples or family groups but for the 2.5 hours we were there it was practically empty! This is must visit site for any Mayan lovers! You can climb a couple of the ruins, but not the main temples due to approximate conservation and preservation protocols. There are signs denoting which ruins are not accessible. Information signs are in three languages including Spanish and English throughout the site. There is also a great museum at the entry of the site, we visited this after the ruins as we found it more informative.
