点评：I had an incredible experience at Sooriya Weaving Mill! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the owner, Chandana, who shared the inspiring history of the business. It's truly amazing to see a company so dedicated to traditional weaving practices. We got to witness the entire process—from growing the cotton to the cleaning, dyeing, spinning, and weaving.
The mill employs about 32 women, each working diligently in different parts of the factory, and it was clear that they are committed to producing high-quality, handcrafted fabrics. Chandana's explanations were so clear and passionate, and we even had the opportunity to try the spinning machine ourselves, which was so much fun!
The best part was seeing the beautiful fabrics transform into finished clothes, which are available for sale in their shop. The designs are timeless, and the craftsmanship is impeccable. Every piece is made with natural materials and fabric by hand, making them not just garments, but pieces of art. The dedication and care that goes into each item are evident, and the story behind the mill adds so much depth to the experience.
