The race itself was fantastic - F1 at Silverstone is always exciting and the on-track action delivered. The actual race viewing experience was solid.
The Bad
Pretty Much Everything Else
For £1,798 for two tickets, the facilities were absolutely shocking:
Weather Contingency Planning: Non-existent
• Rained all day with only 1/3 of the hospitality area covered
• 2/3 of tables and chairs completely soaked and unusable
• Everyone crammed into the tiny covered section
Catering: Laughably Poor
• Only two food options: burger or falafel
• Halfway through the day, the falafel vendor just packed up and left
• Massive queues for the single remaining burger stand
Logistics: Terrible
• No parking provision
• Long walks to get anywhere
• Poor organization throughout
Bottom Line
If you want to watch F1, stay home. Better view, better food, dry seating, and you’ll save over £1,700.
The premium price tag doesn’t match the budget experience you actually get.
Would I return? Absolutely not. Silverstone needs to seriously reconsider how they treat paying customers, especially at these prices.
