Awesome experience for our first race, but major improvement needed for Fans attending
F1 - Italian Grand Prix的点评
点评：This was mine and my husbands first race so I will start with the positives:
Excellent atmostphere and experience, very exciting and plenty going on around the circuit. Lots of viewpoints to check out. No hooligans, no drunks, no hostility towards different teams. Plenty of merchandise to purchase and prices are the same at every stall inside and outside the track. Lively, music, free water stations.
Negatives: not enough shade for how hot it was, they should be used to this so would expect them to provide more areas of shade.
Queues for days, queuing for a token only to THEN have to queue again for the actual item. Queues were 10 to 45 mins for each. Tip: get someone to get in the token queue while others get in the food or drink queue at the same time.
Any transport will drop you at least 2km walk from any entrance, was too hot to be walking that, queues to get in but were always moving. Have to walk everywhere within the circuit, grandstands are far away from each other, general admission viewpoints were still a lot of walking around.
Food and drinks were very expensive, same choices around the whole circuit and nothing authentic to Italy food either. Queues for beers and bottled drinks were the same, they should separate this as the beers take a while to pour whereas the bottles can be given out within seconds. Not enough toilets, again queues.
We paid for grandstand seats Centrale 1, space is VERY LIMITED. hardly any space to put a bag as well as your legs and feet, very awkward and squishy when someone wants to get in and out and I had someone large sitting next to me which was quite uncomfortable as i couldn't sit normally without having contact with their arm or leg, the seats are mad close together. I would have expected better for the price paid.
I appreciated the free water stations around the track, but the queues were too long.
Use the map provided, its better than the map on the Monza App.
Bags are searched, my collapsable selfie stick got taken off me.
We spent all 3 days there. The build up to the race on race day was exciting to see as we could clearly see the pit straight. Overall an amazing weekend, after speaking to people who had attended multiple races, there are better organised ones that offer a better fan experience.
