Anyone that can handle an hour of being in compressed crowds of about 20–25,000 people slipping, and sliding, being pelted with tomatoes of all firmness levels, a.k.a. hard to puréed, it’s a must-do.
If you are ~5’10”or over in height, expect to be a target. Tomatoes are not tossed, but thrown with intention.
If no eye protection is worn and tomatoes get in your eyes, expect to come back with mucky eyes for a few days as your eyes try to acclimate back to their regular state ( from the tomato acid).
People from 4 years old to 70 years old, attended.
A community of fun. If you want to experience the event, but not get stuck in the madness/chaos,
stay at the first drop point up on the hill. The further in you go, the more madness.
