Disappointed in the Womad Spa

点评：This review is about the Spa week-end offering. I would feed back to the organisers, but they are a bit shy about giving address to write to.
So I attended from 27/7 to 30/7.
Good things first: nice lounge, clean showers, staff, and atmosphere. Nice shampoo, conditioner and a minuscule piece of LUSH soap were provided, as well as a lovely fluffy recyclable towel for each visit, and a sarong.
But I was disappointed:
For the price, £180 for the we, the spa was unispired and not of a scale to accommodate the number of people, consisting of 1 sauna (sits 8), 3 hot tubs (sit about 5 each - not Jacuzzis) and one cold tub.
There was a queue of 15-20 min for showers, on both Friday 8:30am and Sat 1pm. Either too many customers, or not enough staff?
Few complimentary quality offerings, (but the PR mentioned a venture with a quality products company): The products in the hair drying area were supermarket fare. The tea/coffee were not complimentary. All treatments were extra at £70-75 for 45 min, so quite dear compared to what was on offer outside the spa in the festival. And the festival showers were just as hot, and almost as clean.
So this is a word of caution for prospective customers next year: if you have been given a ticket via Hospitality, then enjoy! But if like me you have to earn the money for your ticket, you may want to skip that offer, and go directly for a massage/hot shower/yoga class elsewhere (Yoga Tree free Iyengar Yoga classes were excellent).
