点评:I've not been for a few years because the last time we were kept awake until the early hours by thumping bass from the nearest stage followed by an hour of drunk people shouting their heads off and tripping over tents.A brief period of quiet followed at around 5am before babies and children started waking up, shouting and crying soon afterwards.
Sadly, despite a lovely new location, this year was no different, if anything even worse for noise pollution..we were all completely hanging with exhaustion by the Sunday.
The music is great, the vibe is great, even the overpriced food is decent but if everyone is too sleep deprived to enjoy it all then, really what's the point?
Would all those super cool DJs enjoy (for example) Abba's Greatest Hits being played nearby at maximum volume while they're trying to sleep?
If not then why should the vast majority of festival goers who DON'T want to stay up til 4am have their sleep wrecked by those who do?
I'm not sure Peter Gabriel would recognise what this once great festival has become. What a shame.
