Unique spirits and a lackluster experience.
Tamworth Distilling的点评
点评：Admittedly, I am a whiskey nerd. So this review is heavily biased from someone who loves all things whiskey.
The bad:
While I wasn’t expecting a Kentucky distillery level experience, I was left more than a little disappointed in my experience. Staff were very friendly but not knowledgeable on the spirits they offered. It was very slow when I visited so I thought I would be able to discuss the spirits and ask questions, but between the staff chit chatting amongst themselves or wondering off I wasn’t able to ask someone else questions that may have been knowledgeable. I have visited a few other craft distilleries before and have meet very passionate people who want to educate and tell their story, Tamworth Distilling is not one of those in my experience. Also while I wasn’t expecting free tastings, $5 for 0.5 ounce pours seemed excessive.
The good:
I do appreciate the unique-ness of their spirits. My father-in-law asked for a few empty bottles that they were going to throw away and they gave them to us. The staff were friendly when they engaged with us. There is plenty of parking a very short walk down the road.
