A wonderful trip to Mongolia with New Milestone Tours

点评：We recently returned from a wonderful 9-day trip to Mongolia with New Milestone Tours. Adiya and his staff went to great lengths to ensure we had an interesting and fulfilling visit. We had a very interesting and informative trip with our guide Megan and driver Osor who were both very knowledgeable and shared their knowledge on Mongolian life. Navigating the Gobi Desert has very few actual roads but instead it is crisscrossed everywhere by tire tracks in the grass, however Osor was always able to successfully deliver us to every destination.
While most folks visit Mongolia in May or later, we came in April and found it to be a very nice time to visit due to the slightly cooler temperatures. Some of the highlights included the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, a folk music performance, and the Gandan Monastery in Ulaanbaatar, the Przewalski’s wild horses in Khustai National Park, the enormous Chinggis Khan statue, and in the Gobi Desert, the Gobi Museum of Nature and History in Dalanzadgad and the Khongor Sand Dunes.
We stayed in a variety of accommodations, but our favorites were the nights we stayed gers with families near Khustai and in the Gobi Desert where we were really able to gain an understanding and appreciation for the way of life of a nomadic family. We shared meals with the families and in some cases helped with food preparation. What was really interesting was getting up close and personal with their herds of goats, sheep, and camels. We even got a chance to help with the herding!
All in all it was a fabulous trip and we would definitely recommend that you check out New Milestone Tours when you visit Mongolia.
