点评:My husband is Moroccan and so we decided to drive to have a look.
The road in is a nightmare. We had a Range Rover and we still couldn’t go much faster than 30/40km an hour. Regrettably, no one seems to be taking responsibility for the route which is so sad when there is such a beautiful Kasbah and view at the end.
When we got there, the views were astounding. Nothing can prepare you for how far you can see and how beautiful the area is.
It is pretty much a ruin, the government have left it which is such a shame. It is currently used by local residents to relax in, there is graffiti and no toilet facilities (well an area is used as a toilet but it’s actually not one).
There is one lone guard who was lovely and I hope for him that, in the future, he is able to stay there because the government decide to protect it.
The local stories about this Kasbah and how it was built are fascinating and it would be such a shame if these were lost in the future.
Come on Morocco, protect this beautiful Kasbah and employ people to celebrate such wonderful local history.
