Enjoyable yet a challenge
PalmGolf Marrakech Ourika的点评
点评：This was our first visit to Palm Golf Ourika GC and it was very enjoyable, however there are a few things that need improvement. The pro shop has to be one of the worst I’ve ever stepped foot in. There was nothing save for a few golfing garments, no tee pegs, ball markers (which I love to collect) very little indeed.
No sign of slope rating to calculate you handicap allowance, no complimentary water, tee pegs or GPS on buggies. The buggies are very rickety and in need of an upgrade, ball & club cleaners without water & not seed to fill divots. Practice balls were complimentary and driving range and practice facilities adequate. I think I saw one very worn signpost early in the round for a toilet but nothing after that. Signage generally isn’t great directing you to the next tee and between 9 and 10
I thought we had gone awry the distance that far! No on course buggy serving snacks or drinks so be warned and take plenty of supplies with you. Apart from the tiny course layout on the back of the score card there is very little to assist you if you are playing for the first time, not even a basic pic layout on each tee to assist you. Many of the large man made water features were lacking water, which was a shame.
There is plenty of choice as far as the tee blocks go so you can make it as long / short as you like. I played off the yellow blocks and even after a decent drive I was often left with a
longish iron to reach the green in regulation, however some of the par 5’s aren’t too long.
Many holes have tight fairways with water and /
or sand hazards. There are many ‘waste’ areas, especially off the tee requiring a decent drive carry. Tee blocks and greens were in very good condition and only one green has some damage / disease. I’m unsure of the green fee as we booked as a package but I’d say it was IMO worth no more than €75 pp based on the offering and what other courses I’ve played.
Another very nice plus here is the beautiful backdrop of the Atlas Mountains that surrounds this course, so aesthetically it’s very nice in places.
