Disappointing and stressful
National Trust - Coventry Charterhouse的点评
点评：Visited Tue around 2.30 pm . Large carpark signage suggesting we needed to show NT Card at a machine ( but despite wandering round entire carpark in 30degree heat couldn’t find one ) or use an app . Stood in heat and down loaded the app but that seemed to require payment so abandoned it .
We then met a couple of visitors who were returning to their car who told us the machine was at the charter house . A sign in the carpark telling us would have been helpful .
On arrival we were told that house shut at 3.50 and also that the cafe was closing “soon”. We enquired at the cafe before starting our visit to be told that the cafe would shut at 4 but the coffee machine would be turned off at an undisclosed earlier time … the reason being that there were too few visitors and “ we are not making any money”!
Two other groups of visitors followed us in they too having experienced the pantomime in the car park and the announcements of the imminent closure .
The visit was disappointing . So very little to see . No imagery or graphics of the purposes of the building and its surroundings . No signage in the building . A room given over to crayoning activities and another pointlessly filled with mirrors . The gardens were strewn with plastic toys .
This location falls well below the standard of signage , information, education , accessibility and staff attitude we anticipated from having visited other NT properties .
