Amazing! Just a few things to keep in mind.
Trip to Kyrgyzstan的点评
点评：Kyrgyzstan is a beautiful country with stunning lakes, rock formations and just nature in general. No waiting lines, overcrowded places or noise. Excellent for hiking horse riding, off road driving and cultural nomadic experiences.
Locals are friendly, welcoming, and still own their authentic culture. We had some great experiences when were invited by locals for nomad events, lunch tea and Kumuz. Although with the upcoming tourism some locals tend to exploit it and have a different point a view on hospitality than we are used to. For example we experienced frequently that our booked accomondations, well after check in time, were not ready. Also once, housekeeping needed a part of our luxury tent to use our washing machine and snoopy local tourists coming in uninvited to inspect our more basic booked yurt.
Pls keep in mind:
- Toursim is still upcoming. Do not expect a lot of luxury experiences. That includes fast Wifi.
- The roads are in poor condition. The actual travel time is most of the time min 2 times longer than Google maps indicates. Take a GPS with you or download an app.
- Public toilets are disgusting.
- Air pollution.
- Most locals do not speak English, but with Google translate you'll be fine.
IMPORTANT: you will need a car (4x4) to travel around. Pls check if the insurance covers for body injuries to third party and till with amount. We couldn't find any additional insurance. Since we already booked, we took the risk. It's a personal consideration, but pls be aware about the risk.
