House tour is not about the former Darke family

- owner/host is very passionate about history and shares a lot of fun European tidbits.
- owner/ host did a good job renovating and furnishing the house
- he curated very nice pieces mostly from Europe
- the evening tours at candlelight is very cool
Cons:
- furnishings are not from the house era nor from the family
- the tour is not about the history of the house nor the Darke family who built it but rather about the current owner’s own curated pieces from Europe and his own interpretation of a Medieval Castle
- this house is mainly a small boutique hotel and event space and the tour felt more like an hotel tour
- tour is too expensive for what it is in our opinion
Overall, if you like European art and Medieval Castle era decor, absolutely go tour Stone Hill. If you want to learn about the history of the house and the early 1900 history of Regina, this tour is not for you.
