点评:This is a good hike to get some exercise. But we did not get the extensive nature details from the tour guide that earlier reviewers from past years mentioned (or maybe they hired a different guide service not through the government?) The guide was extremely attentive, however, to my friend who was a bit unsteady in the mud, and I was very appreciative about this. Spectacular scenery. The path was slippery on a mid-August day, and lots of buffalo dung on the path. When we went to give what we thought was a generous tip of 20,000 Tz schillings (US $8) to the guide, he asked what we were giving to the ranger for her services. We handed over another 9,000 Tz schillings to the ranger (everything we had on us), and she gave us an unfavorable look. This was confusing to me as I had read from several reputable companies that the appropriate tip for a DAY with a safari guide is $5-$10, so it seemed reasonable that (if a ranger should be tipped) they could have shared the original tip we provided. We didn’t take the entire tour as we skipped the waterfall given how slippery it was. That possibly could make it worthwhile for others (but wouldn’t have for us).
