点评：The Cape Cod Canal provides a 7 mile, paved, flat trail for walkers, runners, and bikers. If you start at the Cape Cod Canal Railroad Bridge, there is free parking, bathrooms, water fountains, a playground and children's splash water playground, and picnic table areas. At the end of the trail is the Cape Cod Bay and beach area.
It is a fun place to watch the boats go by, people fishing, the cormorants or other birds, seals, and all the people. It is safe with people walking/riding the trail all the time.
There is not any shade, so bring a hat and water if you will be walking a long ways. The closest bridge to the Railroad Bridge is the Bourne Bridge and along the way is a campground. There is a store that sells ice cream although I have never been. There are no public bathrooms between those points.
Nearby are stores that will rent you a bike if you want to ride the trail to the end. Depending on the which way the wind it blowing and how hard, you can get quite a work out in.
There is the Cape Cod train, you can pick up at Buzzards Bay for a train ride which goes across the Railroad Bridge on Fridays 12 pm June - October.
