点评:Visited as part of a Great Rail Journeys holiday whilst on our longest road trip. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but on arrival our group was warmly welcomed by the genial John and camel Sparky, both of whom are great characters.
John gave an overview of what they did on the farm, how they cared for their camels and the things the camels need. A Q &A session then followed which was also informative and interesting.
We then went to the Hoosh Cafe for an excellent lunch prepared and cooked by John’s partner, Simone. The warmth of their hospitality shone through and was much appreciated. The cafe itself has an interesting history, described on displays in he building, alongside the history of camel trains in Australia and displays of the indigenous peoples crafts.
It should also be noted they have excellent bathroom facilities in an adjacent building, something that is often lacking at this kind of attraction.
This was a real surprise package, and a wonderful experience. The enthusiasm for what John and Simone do is obvious to see. Thank you!
