Diving Accident that nearly cost a life. DO NOT DIVE HERE - not insured with PADI or SSI

点评：DO NOT DIVE HERE!!! My daughter and I did the open water certification and she ended up with decompression sickness. scuba diving accident on May 9th, 2024, including her treatment for decompression sickness (DCS), is as follows:
9:00 am: Arrived at Dive Centre Ocean Diving.
9:24 am: Started Dive 1 - Descending to 20 meters.(limit is 12) Spent 45 minutes underwater.
During Dive 1: Diver 2 ran out of air prior to safety stop. Used emergency regulator from instructor's tank. Ascended WITHOUT safety stop.
Post Dive 1: Diver 1 felt very nauseous. Got out of the water first, followed by Reegan and instructor. Diver 2 felt physically okay.
Rest: Returned to dive shop. Rested for 1 hour.
11:30 am: Boarded the boat for Dive 2.
11:50 am: Started Dive 2 - Descended to 20 meters. (limit is 12)
12:45 pm: Began ascending. Completed 3-minute safety stop.
After Dive 2: Diver 2 felt nauseated and vomited on the boat. . Instructor and 2 other divers boarded the boat.
12:55 pm: Diver 2 Began experiencing severe chest pain and difficulty breathing. Sank to the boat floor, turned white, and started to pass out. - NO OXYGEN GIVEN
Emergency response: Dive shop worker called emergency number. Female dive instructor poured water on Diver 2 (still no oxygen), told her to stay awake, and patted her face. Laid Diver 2 on her side with her knees bent.
Ambulance arrival: Ambulance arrived, loaded Diver 2 onto a backboard, and started oxygen.
Transport to Boca Chica Hospital: Received IV and nebulizer treatment. Sent for an X-ray. Chest compressed
Transfer to Oxygen Wellness Centre: Arranged for Diver 2 to be moved to the Oxygen Wellness Centre in Santo Domingo, where a hyperbaric chamber was available for DCS treatment. Diver 2 spent 4 hours and 45 minutes in the hyperbaric chamber. Cost $12,000 plus hospital visit ($6000) - Dive shop NO INSURANCE
