Worth visiting but…
周日夜市(周日步行街)－塔佩门的点评
点评：It’s not just a walking street but several streets! There must be hundreds and hundreds of market stalls, street food stalls and shops. Many of the stalls seemed to be selling the same goods and a number didn’t display prices. There were some interesting craft outlets…again some displayed prices and others didn’t. It was certainly extremely busy with locals and tourists and progress wasn’t helped by some slowly wandering along with their eyes firmly on their mobile phones!
Two warnings…don’t splash the cash and be wary of wearing gold necklaces. Like any busy market there are always individuals up to no good and with the price of gold at record levels, it’s not worth the risk.
If you want a change of scene, visit an interesting temple, Wat Phra Singh, situated on the street.
We used taxis to get and from the walking street.
Although we probably wouldn’t visit again, the experience was worth going for.
