点评：If you are interested in ancient migration history, this is a place you need to visit. It sits on an archaeological site that is still being excavated, and they are developing a 'living history' museum around the inhabitants. Not there yet, but the museum is interesting for those interested in ancient history, like before the Egyptians. The intelligence of this civilization is incredible. They understood the stars, the calendar, and the seasons. They were far from primitive as they hunted, tanned hides for clothing and other useful objects, spun and wove fabric for clothing and made shoes. They made beer and harvested grains. Their forging skills started the Bronze Age. Their burial practices were interesting and displayed in the museum. Vulkavar is an interesting town to visit and they produce exceptional wines. We visited as part of an AMAWaterway cruise and would not have missed this for the world, even though the other half of the group went to a winery which they declared exceptional.
