GREAT day out - BUT take your own food!
比尔公园的点评
点评：I absolutely LOVE Beale Park. I've been a member for at least three years. There are some things that aren't perfect about the park, but I love the environment, animals and variety of things to do. The new addition of the indoor soft play is amazing, my daughter will use this every time we come. I come every week in the warm months and it really is mine and my daughter's HAPPY PLACE. We have so many happy memories here and I will be renewing my membership for the foreseeable future (as long as the membership ticket prices don't rise).
BUT...
Since the restaurant has been renovated, the prices are just ridiculous. I'll post photos so everyone can see the prices before they go. To charge £3.60 for a giant jammy dodger and £2.15 for a packet of Walker's crisps is just setting out to rinse people of their money. In my opinion, it's bordering on immoral and doesn't leave me feeling like a valued customer, just an open wallet. A jacket potato for an adult is over £8, yet HALF a jacket potato for a child is £7. A MINI MILK is £2.35. It's cheaper to buy lollies and ice cream from the ice cream van they bring in over the summer. Unfortunately, I've stopped having an ice cream myself as I refuse to pay these prices, so now only my daughter has one.
I know I've moaned on about the restaurant. I just hope they have enough feedback like this that means some real changes can come into force in this area. I REALLY DO recommend this as a day out. If it were me, I would just (and I do!) bring my own food or come prepared to spend more than you think. I'm reluctant to leave any sort of negative review about a place I love so much, but this is just my honest opinion and I think it's useful for others to know before they go.
